HEALING WITHOUT OPIOIDS
IMAC REGENERATION CENTERS’ FIGHT AGAINST THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC
The New York Times reported on October 26th that every 19 minutes someone dies from an accidental opioid drug overdose resulting in 170 Americans dying each day. Most of the time it is from PRESCRIPTION PAIN MEDICATION like oxycodone and hydrocodone prescribed to dull pain. In fact, in 2012 there were 259 million prescriptions written for opioid pain killers – that’s enough for almost every adult and child in America to have their own bottle!
Last month, President Trump called the opioid epidemic the “worst drug crisis in American history” and pledged the nation’s full resolve in overcoming it. “Addressing it will require all of our effort, and it will require us to confront the crisis in all of its very real complexity,” Trump said during a speech in the East Room of the White House, where he was joined by first lady Melania Trump and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), chairman of a presidential commission on combating the crisis. “As Americans, we cannot allow this to continue,” Trump said. “It is time to liberate our communities from the scourge of drug addiction. We can be the generation that ends the opioid epidemic. We can do it.”
“If you have been told that you will eventually need total knee or hip replacement surgery, you should know there is a very good chance your recovery will include prescription opioids. The trouble is we are in the midst of an opioid abuse and overdose epidemic right now,” reports Matt Chambers of KMOV St. Louis. “What if you could eliminate your joint and back pain without surgery or prescription medication, avoiding the risk of addiction all-together?”
IMAC Regeneration Centers, the leader in fighting against the opioid epidemic through preventative measures, is making great progress. “Our approach to fighting the opioid epidemic is different and more effective than anything else offered in the United States,” explains IMAC Regeneration Centers’ Founder, Dr. Matt Wallis. “Our goal is to provide solutions to treat the cause of the pain without surgery or prescription pain medication – preventing the potential addiction from happening in the first place. As a country, we are spending more and more money on drugs, but nobody is getting better. The issue is not the pain the person is feeling – we have to figure out what is causing the pain. Once we begin to deal with that, the symptoms start to go away.”
Instead of total knee or hip replacements or radical back surgery, IMAC treatments use your body’s own stem cells and platelet-rich-plasma to kick healing into high gear. Dr. Devin Bell, lead medical doctor at Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Center, says the key is placing a concentrated amount of stem cells right at the source of the problem. “We all have stem cells in our bodies constantly working to heal injuries. The problem is that naturally we do not have enough stem cells concentrated to certain areas of the body to repair significant damage. Our procedure removes stem cells from the person’s own fat tissue, and places them right at the specific area of the body that needs healing. Now the patient has millions of stem cells working to repair the damage which escalates the healing process.”
Elizabeth Hozeka is extremely thankful she was able to avoid prescription pain medication. Dance, gymnastics, and cycling had caused so much damage to her body that she had nine reconstructive knee surgeries between the ages 13-21 and was still in pain. After searching for a solution that did not involve another surgery or pain killers, she began treatment at Ozzie Smith IMAC Center. “It’s actually quite emotional to live in the world that I have now compared to just a year ago. I am able to lose weight and be more active again. No pain medicine and no going under the knife. It has changed my life.”
Dave Kuhl also found success after treatment at Ozzie Smith IMAC Center. “Just 13 months ago I came into Ozzie Smith Center walking with a cane – but not anymore. Coming here is the best thing I have ever done.” Last year, Dave told his wife their trip to Canada would be their last. “I told her, I just can’t do it anymore.” But the day after completing treatment at Ozzie Smith Center, Dave and his wife headed to Florida. “I walked a mile up the beach and down the beach. Things I couldn’t do before. I’ve never been happier.”
Chambers reported on the November 13th edition of Great Day St. Louis, that IMAC’s unique treatment combination of medical doctors, physical therapists and chiropractors working together to provide solutions for health conditions without surgery or opioids, is making headlines – resulting in several expansions throughout the United States. IMAC’s current locations include Ozzie Smith Center in Chesterfield and St. Peters, MO, IMAC Regeneration Centers in Paducah and Murray, KY and David Price Center in Brentwood and Murfreesboro, TN. “If you are looking for great results without surgery or opioids, check out IMAC Regeneration Centers,” says Chambers. “I am sure there are pharmaceutical companies that do not like this message – you do not need opioids to get over your pain – you can find out the cause of your pain and let us help fix it,” shares Ozzie Smith Center’s lead Physical Therapist, Sandy Miller. “Our specialty is working together as a team to help patients achieve their goals without surgery or prescription pain medication. Sometimes it is going up a flight of stairs, or picking up a grandchild, or being able to work. Seeing patients get back to doing the things they love to do is the most gratifying part of the work we do. Each patient has their own story of health and healing.”
